Goodbye My Love!!!

When I think about the Wyoming vacay, I can't help but imagine that this will be us at some point.

Except, will we be smiling?



Between you, me and the tree, I am really looking forward to what adventures and messes we might get ourselves into. I have never seen a place like this before: land so still and quiet that I will stand, bated breath, in expectation that the slightest murmur will shatter the silence. Wide open sky and earth spread flat far and wide.

I imagine that the appropriate smattering of D&D quotes will be exchanged throughout the first few days, and Billy will bust into an impromptu performance of "Izzo"*, just because he knows I like it so much when he raps.

So, a few days later, Billy may switch gears into his infamous "Work Song" for an hour or so, and I may wistfully gaze a time or two out of the passenger window, to which Billy will yell "...and the academy award for Best Actress in a Drama goes to.....Jenny!"
...which will either make me laugh, cry or fume. It's anyone's guess at this point.

However, I am thinking that by day 7, as I walk out of the "World's Largest Jackalope" gift shop, I will find myself immersed in a whirlwind of dust and gravel, with Billy speeding off screaming "Goodbye my looooooooove!"

Okay, okay, I kid: Billy would never stop at a gift shop!


They say the best way to really know someone (outside of living with them) is to travel with them. So, Bill, meet Jenny. She is the person who will either be sitting next to you in seat 5E, or the girl who decided to walk home.

*Editor's note: I had to google "Izzo" because I was unsure of the meaning. This is what I found: "Jay-Z refers to himself "Hova tha God," because he not only thinks he is the savior of rap, but he also feels no one can touch him on a lyrical basis." Which makes a whole lot of sense now.
