Back Online From Togwotee!

After not having internet in Jackson Hole we're back online with an update from Togwotee Mountain Lodge. It's been a VERY eventful 2 days for us so far in Wyoming. Yesterday we left Casper and headed for the Wind River Canyon which was beautiful.

As we were driving out I experienced some of the worst chest pain in my life that really scared me. Knowing that between that location and Jackson Hole (over 130 miles) there was no medical help at all I thought it would be a good idea to get checked out. Thus, we spent the early afternoon at the Riverton, WY Emergency Room. Fortunately, everything checked out and the pain was attributed to altitude changes. Saturday was shaping up to be a little too boring so I had to spice it up somehow, us Taylors do it up the right way!

We made our way to Jackson and had a great night shopping the Town Square and enjoying a great steak dinner at Cowboy Bar.

Today we awoke early and enjoyed a great breakfast at Bubba's, a Taylor family tradition. It was just as it always was with huge biscuits and great food. We then went up the Teton Village tram and got some spectacular views of Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park.

We're now at Togwotee before heading in to Yellowstone tomorrow. Mileage count so far is a little over 800 miles in our Dodge Charger. Jenny has completed her Auto Bingo and we've gone through both iPods and haven't killed each other yet!

That's all for now. It's time to head up to the Red Fox Saloon for a pre-dinner adult beverage. We'll post more as we have internet access, until then, happy travels.

  1. Wow Bill, you sure know how to make things interesting...an engagement and a trip to the hospital, what more could a girl ask for!!! I'm glad everything checked out okay and you are enjoying yourselves!

  2. Glad everything is A-OK and you're continuing to enjoy beautiful Wyoming! Gosh, your pictures make me want to get on the next plane to Jackson! Sounds like Bubba's still serves the best biscuits west of the Mississippi! Jenny, have a GREAT time in Yellowstone--you're going to love it! (Watch out for the buffalo--they don't like to get out of the way of moving cars!) Love, Mom T.
